following is a report of the Crime Laboratory giving the results of examinations
conducted on specimens received from your office. This examination has been made
with the understanding that the specimen is connected with an official
investigation of a criminal matter and the laboratory report wilI be used for
official purposes only, related to the investigation or a subsequent criminal
prosecution. Authorization cannot be granted for the use of this report in

RESULTS:
Tests for human blood
on reddish stain noted on the outside top portion and on the inside brim portion
of the hat Q-1, were affirmative. The B blood group antigen was detected in
portions of stain removed from these two areas of the hat Q-1.

Tests
for human blood on reddish stain noted on the piece of cardboard Q-2, the
plastic
Q-3
the electrical cord Q-4, the specimens Q-5 and Q-6, and the pillowcase Q-8, were
affirmative. The B blood group antigen was detected in portions of stain removed
from Q-2 trough Q-6 and Q-8.
Tests for human blood
on reddish stain noted on the paper towel Q-7A and on the napkin Q-7B, were
affirmative.The B and H blood antigens were detected in portions of stain
removed from Q-7A and Q-7B.
Four different reddish
stained areas of the right shoe of the pair of gym shoes Q-9 were selected for
examination. Tests for human blood on each of the four stained areas of the
right shoe, were affirmative. Tests for the ABO blood group antigens in portions
of stain removed from each of these four selected areas of the right shoe, were
inconclusive.
Examinations
of the sweatpants Q-10 and the table leg Q-14, for the presence of blood, were
negative.
Tests for human blood
on a small amount of thin reddish stein noted on the glove Q-11, were
affirmative. Tests for the ABO blood group antigens in a portion of stain
removed from Q-11, were inconclusive. Insufficient specimen remains for further
analysis.
Three different reddish
stained areas of the knife Q-12
were selected for examination. Tests for human blood on each of these three
stained areas of Q-12, were affirmative. The B blood group antigen was detected
in portions of stain removed from each of the three selected areas of the knife
Q-12.
Four different reddish
stained areas of the piece of wood Q-13 were selected for examination. Tests for
human blood on each of these four stained areas of Q-13, were affirmative. The B
blood group antigen was detected in portions of stain removed from each of the
four selected areas of the wood Q-13.
Four different reddish
stained areas of the stoker Q-15 were selected for examination. Tests for human
blood on each of these four stained areas of Q-15, were affirmative. The B blood
group antigen was detected in portions of stain removed from the three of the
four selected areas of Q-15. Tests for the ABO blood group antigens in a portion
of stain removed from the remaining selected area of Q-15, were inconclusive.
A
large amount of reddish stain was noted in several different areas at one end of
the blanket

The
blood of John Henry Turner (H-764-88), K-1, was determined to be group B in the
ABO blood group system.
The blood of Jerome
Campbell, K-2, was determined to be group A in the ABO blood group system.
OPINION:
The outside top and
inside brim portions of the hat Q-1 are each stained with group B human blood.
The cardboard Q-2, the
plastic Q-3, the electrical cord Q-4, the specimens Q-5
and Q-6, the paper
towel Q-7A, the napkin Q-7B, and the pillowcase Q-8 are each stained with group
B human blood.
The right shoe of the
pair of gym shoes Q-9 is stained with human blood of undetermined ABO blood type
in four different areas.
The glove Q-11 is
stained with a small amount of human blood of undetermined ABO blood type.
The knife Q-12 is
stained with group B human blood in at least three different areas.
The piece of wood Q-13
is stained with group B human blood in at least four different areas.
The stoker Q-15 ls
stained with group B human blood in at least three different areas and is

blanket Q-16 is stained with group B human blood in at least five different
areas.
John
Henry Turner (H-764-88) is group B in the ABO blood group system.
